Join us for an inspiring evening with Tamar & Jennifer as they share methods and purposes for cultivating important native systems & habitats in your own backyard. From container gardens to pocket prairies & beyond - there's no space too small to support wildlife with native plants!
Tamar has been a gardener for 40 years and completed her Master Gardener training at Missouri Botanical Gardens. A member of Heartlands Conservancy, her focus has been on native plants for the past five years. When not working on her own garden, Tamar spends time at The Gardens at SIUE, where she has been a volunteer for eight years.
Jennifer is an award-winning author who writes about nature, especially works featuring birds. She is a backyard steward with an ever-growing Yard List of native birds. Her books include, "Mama Built a Little Nest", "I Love Birds! 52 Ways to Wonder, Wander & Explore Birds with Kids", & "How to Find a Bird", among other titles. In her free time, she volunteers with Wild Bird Rehabilitation, STL. JenniferWardBooks.com
